Online Art Gallery Rethinks Exhibition Space

A New England based art gallery collaborates with artists to create online art exhibitions

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut - June 8th, 2018 - Lunch Money Print launches its first online exhibition with artist Daniel Eugene titled "New Haven Photographs." The online exhibition features a collection of over one-hundred photographs of New Haven and is the first comprehensive show produced by the New England based arts company.

In addition to the online elements, the show also has Pop-Up events. Chris, one of the Co-Founders thinks it is vital the online exhibition has a physical space. He says "It is important for the show to have a physical representation to ground it, show scale, and have an opportunity for people to see the artwork in person." The online show is meant to pair with the physical exhibition giving viewers who are unable to make the show a chance to attend online. New Haven Photograph's first event occurred on May 16th during Westville's Artwalk, and a second exhibition is scheduled downtown at Hull's Art Supply and Framing. Eugene is optimistic with the collaboration and states "It is a lot of work to produce a show like this and working with Lunch Money Print is a wonderful opportunity to give greater life to the physical show." During the three months "New Haven Photographs" is featured, Eugene continues to add photographs to the collection.

Lunch Money Print plans to continue collaborating with artists in the online exhibition space and is preparing a community show, open to all artists. The open call is for a Print Exchange inviting artists to create prints to share with other participating artists with all artwork featured in the online gallery. Mark, a Co-Founder describes the reasoning behind the group show. "We are always searching for new works of art that tell a story. The Print Exchange gives us the ability to showcase new artists and help them promote their work" Artists who are interested in registering for the show are welcome to send emails to Chris and Mark at support@lunchmoneyprint.com or visit the website for more information.
